There’s an old saying that bad luck comes in threes. Today, I am doing unexpected work because:-

one webserver was reinstalled instead of the upgrade I was expecting,

another webserver was cracked and defaced (combination of two known security problems that we didn’t fix quickly enough, but that’s the server owner’s call really), and
